ALDS: Houston over Boston (3 games to 1); New York over Cleveland (3 games to 2)
Houston made the World Series for the second time in franchise history, and first as an American League team. The Astros again stifled the Yanks at home, where they stayed unbeaten this postseason. Charlie Morton threw five innings of two-hit ball, and Lance McCullers Jr. gave up just one hit in four frames to cap the shutout. Evan Gattis and Jose Altuve went deep, while Brian McCann plated a pair.
