Mark is in his fifth professional season after making his major league debut in 2017 with the Cubs ... originally drafted by the Cubs in the third round of the 2014 draft... Has batted .277 (364-for-1,313) with 86 doubles, 14 triples and 33 homers in 370 minor league games, including 147 games at the Triple-A level... Had his contract selected by the Cubs, June 22, 2017, and made his debut that night ... went 0-for-14 with four walks in his first major league action... Named a mid-season All-Star with Tennessee in 2016 (Southern League), Myrtle Beach in 2015 (Carolina League) and Boise in 2014 (Northwest League) ... also named a post-season All-Star with Myrtle Beach in 2015... Attended Virginia Tech where he was a 2014 Johnny Bench Award semifinalist ... named a two-time All-ACC Second Team and a three-time All-ACC Academic Team selection ... ranked third in the ACC in career batting average among active players in 2014... Graduated from Holy Cross (N.J.) High School.

Spent the majority of the season with Iowa, batting .267 (88-for-330) with 21 doubles and 13 homers in 97 games... Split the season between Double-A Tennessee and Triple-A Iowa, batting .288 (103-for-358) with 25 doubles, 10 homers and 49 RBI in 101 games... Began the season with the Smokies, batting .302 (54-for-179) with 13 doubles and four homers in 51 games ... was promoted to Iowa, June 8, and batted .274 (49-for-179) with 12 doubles and six homers in 50 games...
