High School...Was high school teammates of pitchers Max Fried and Lucas Giolito, both selected in the first round of the June, 2012 First-Year Player Draft...Went 23-0 with an 0.63 ERA over his final two seasons and 35-3 overall throughout his high school career...Recognized as a two-time Southern Section Division 1 Player of the Year...Named 2014 Los Angeles Daily News All-Area Baseball Player of the Year and California Gatorade State Player of the Year...Named USA Today second team All-USA High School selection...Signed a letter of intent with the University of North Carolina...Joined Cardinals organization as first round compensatory pick gained when outfielder Carlos Beltrán signed with the New York Yankees...Resides in Sherman Oaks, Calif.
