Full name KYLE RICHARD CROCKETT...Single...Attended the University of Virginia from 2011-13, going a combined 12-3 w/ 12 saves and a 1.98 ERA in 88 games/3 GS (150.1 IP, 113H, 33 ER, 28BB, 160K, .208AVG )...ERA (2nd) and games pitched (5th) rank in the top 5 in UVA career baseball history...Named third-team All-American by NCBWA in 2013, first-team All-ACC in 2013 and ranked 2nd in the ACC in saves (12), going 4-1 with a 1.70 ERA in 29 games in 2013 (58.1 IP, 42H, 11 ER, 7BB, 71K )...Cavaliers reached the College World Series in 2011, Crockett's freshman season...On Twitter @CrockPott3...Kyle was the 2010 Gatorade Virginia Player of the Year and a two-time State Player of the Year (2009, 2010) at Poquoson High School....Combined 27-0 w/ a .445 batting average in his junior and senior seasons at Poquoson...Active in the National Honor Society, Make-a-Wish Foundation and the Special Friends program for kids with reading disabilities.

Rapid riser spent first pro season between short-season A Mahoning Valley, Class-A Lake County and ended the season in Double-A, going a combined 1-0 with a 0.36 ERA (24.2 IP, 16H, 2R/1ER, 5BB, 32K, .184AVG )...Was named the organization's Minor League player of the week to conclude the season (8/ 26-9/ 1)...Debuted with Mahoning Valley on 6/30 and was promoted to Lake County on 7/24 after 9.1 scoreless IP (8G )..Made four appearances for the Captains (promoted to Akron on 8/4).


In 10 games for Akron, Crockett tossed 10.1 scoreless frames, struck out 9 and issued just 2 walks...
