Started the year with Double-A New Hampshire where he went 3-2 with a 1.73 ERA over 52.0 innings ... Was promoted to Triple-A Buffalo in June and made his AAA debut on June 19 at Rochester, throwing 4.2 innings of one-run relief (6H, 3BB, 5K) ... Had his contract purchased by the Blue Jays on Aug. 12...Earned the win that afternoon in his MLB debut as a starter vs. PIT (5.1 IP, 5H, 1ER, 1BB, 3K)...Became the 1st member of the U.S. Military Academy to play in the Majors...Became the first Toronto starter to win his debut in the Majors since Drew Hutchison did so on April 21, 2012...Became the 43rd player in club history to make his MLB debut as a starting pitcher (last: Matt Boyd on June 27, 2015) ...
