Mets send Conforto to Triple-A; Lugo recalled

Over the first four months of his career, Michael Conforto flashed the talent that allowed him to make the jump from Double-A Binghamton to the big leagues late last season. In the four months since, though, both Conforto and the Mets have been left searching for answers.

Michael Thomas Conforto graduated from Redmond (WA) High School where he was named All-State and All-League after his senior campaign...Batted .400 as a senior with five doubles, one triple, seven home runs and 19 RBI in 29 games…Also lettered two years in football as a quarterback and a free safety…Attended Oregon State University...Was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year during his first season on campus...Hit a team-leading .349 and led the Pac-12 with 76 RBI as a freshman...
