Peter Morgan Alonso graduated from Plant High School (FL) the same school as Hall of Famer Wade Boggs...Recipient of the 2013 Wade Boggs Athletic Achievement Award, based upon outstanding athletic skills, academic achievement and good sportsmanship...Turned in a career high school batting average of .460 (116-252) and drove in 99 runs...Was invited to the USA Baseball 18-U National Team trials...Attended University of Florida...Was named to the 2015 SEC All-Tournament Team as a sophomore and a 2016 Dick Howser Trophy Semi-Finalist as a junior...Also was a NCBWA first-team All America, Perfect Game/Rawlings first-team All America, ABCA/Rawlings secondteam All America, a Baseball America third-team All America and an All-SEC second-team selection during his junior season...As a junior he ranked fourth in the SEC with a .374 batting average (79-211),...Tallied 60 RBI and 51 runs scored...His .659 slugging percentage led the conference...Hit .500 (16-32) in the 2016 NCAA Tournament with five home runs and 13 RBI...Was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Gainesville Regional.
