Graduated in 2008 from Pleasant Hill (Mo.) High School where he was a three-sport star...was an All-district baseball player; All-Conference, All-District and All-State basketball performer earning Dream Team Player of the Year accolades; and earned All-conference as a football player...played two seasons at Metropolitan Longview Community College (Kansas City, Mo.), earning All-Region honors as a sophomore...played two years at the University of Central Missouri (Warrensburg), going 10-0 with a 1.47 ERA in 11 starts (14. app) in his final season...was named MIAA Pitcher of the Year after his 2012 season...resides in Pleasant Hill, Mo.


Worked his way through three organizational levels in just his second professional season, from Palm Beach (A) through Double-A Springfield to Triple-A Memphis...At Palm Beach allowed just two earned runs in his first 11 relief appearances, spanning 19.2 innings (0.92 ERA)...Transferred to Springfield on 5/25 and allowed just six runs in 40.0 IP (1.35 ERA) including a stretch of 12.1 scoreless innings (12 games) from 7/5-8/3...After going 1-0 in August with 4 saves and 1.35 ERA (2R/13.1IP, 11 apps.) was promoted to Memphis (AAA) on 8/29...Named the Cardinals Minor League Pitcher of the Month for August. Went 1-0 in 12 relief outings with a 1.26 ERA between Springfield (11 games) and Memphis (1 game)...Pitched a scoreless inning in two apps. with Memphis before allowing a single run in his final outing of the season on 9/2...Pitched nine games (9.1IP) for Salt River in the Arizona Fall League, allowing runs just twice (3 total) for a 2.89 ERA.
