Spent the entire season with Single-A Tampa, hitting .254 (118-for-464) with 65R, 16 doubles, 9 triples, 8HR, 47RBI and 36SB in 113 games as the team's primary leadoff hitter…led all Yankees minor leaguers in stolen bases…led the Florida State League in stolen bases and tied for second in triples, while leading the team in hits and RBI…was selected to the FSL Mid-Season All-Star Team and the 2016 MLB All-Star Futures Game (did not participate). Hit .351 (33-for-94) with 6 doubles, 4 triples, 3HR and 40RBI with runners in scoring position. Batted .337 (28-for-83) with 18R, 3 doubles, 3 triples, 2HR and 17RBI in 21 games in April. Attended his first spring training as a non-roster invitee, batting .235 (4-for-17) with 3R, 1 triple, 1HR, 3RBI and 1SB in 10 games. After the season, played for the Toros del Este of the Dominican Winter League, batting .167 (7-for-42) with 8R, 1 double, 1 triple, 2RBI and 5SB in 20 games.
