Jason is a non-roster invitee to major league Spring Training for the first time ... in four pro seasons, he has batted .246 (333-for-1,354) with 69 doubles, nine triples and 35 homers in 385 games ... has reached the Double-A level in each of the past two seasons, including all of last season... Named a mid-season and post-season All-Star in the Southern League in 2017 ... also named a MILB.com Organization All-Star... Selected by the Cubs in the 16th round of the 2014 draft out of Northeastern University ... started 161 games in three seasons at Northeastern, batting .307 with 197 hits and 113 RBI ... batted .322 in 2014 to lead Northeastern to a second-straight appearance in the CAA playoffs... Graduated from Don Bosco Preparatory High School in Ramsey, N.J.


In his first full season at the Double-A level, Jason was named a mid-season and post-season All-Star in the Southern League ... he batted .241 (109-for452) with a team-high 21 homers and 81 RBI ... drew a career-high 53 walks, contributing to a .343 OBP... Spent the first 93 games with Myrtle Beach, batting .254 (85-for-334) with 25 doubles, tied for third-most on the squad ... added two triples, two homers and 39 RBI, while drawing 33 walks...
