Graduated from Lincoln-Way East H.S. (Ill.) in 2009. Played three seasons at Central Michigan (2010-12)…as a freshman in 2010, earn Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America and First-Team All-MAC, and was named MAC "Freshman of the Year" after going 7-0 with a 2.12 ERA (59.1IP, 34H, 25R/14ER, 27BB, 64K) in 20 appearances (two starts)…was named to the 2011 Cape Cod League All-Star Team.

2016

Went 14-4 with one save and a 1.73 ERA (135.0IP, 102H, 28R/26ER, 56BB, 124K, 6HR) in 26 games (22 starts) between Double-A Trenton and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre…tied for the organizational lead and tied for fourth among all minor league pitchers in wins…ranked second among minor league pitchers in ERA (min. 125.0IP) and fifth among Yankees farmhands in strikeouts…held opponents to a .215 BA (102-for-475); LH .205 (26-for-127), RH .218 (76-for-348)…in his 22 starts, his team went 18-4…logged 10 scoreless starts…went 7-0 with a 0.94 ERA (67.1IP, 7ER) in 13 home games (11 starts). Began the season with Trenton and went 7-2 with a 1.93 ERA (70.0IP, 55H, 15ER, 30BB, 74K, 3HR) en route to being selected to the Eastern League Mid-Season All-Star Team…was named EL "Player of the Month" for April after going 3-0 and tossing 23.2 scoreless innings (9H, 13BB, 25K) over four starts to set a Thunder record for a season-opening scoreless streak (23.2IP).
