Played in 3 games at Round Rock (AAA) to open the year before 4/10 recall by the Rangers with injury to Shin-Soo Choo…remained with club for duration of the season…started 97 games in right field and 33 in left…tied for 3rd on team in triples (3) and ranked 5th in hits (137), total bases (216), HR (20), RBI (64), and runs (59)…tied for 5th in the A.L. with 7 sac flies, matching team best…topped all A.L. rookies in hits, total bases, runs, homers (tied), and RBI and was 2nd in walks (38)… placed among Rangers all-time single-season rookie leaders in slugging (3rd, .419), hits (T3rd), homers (4th), batting average (5th, .266), OBP (6th, .320), at bats (6th, 516), RBI (T6th), and games (T8th, 145).
