After having a chance to assess their offensive woes this past weekend, the Braves decided it was time to alter their roster by adding three veteran Minor Leaguers who have previously spent some time at the big league level.

Resides in Moss Bluff, La...Graduated from Hamilton Christian High School in Louisiana, where he was All-State in football, basketball and baseball...Attended McNeese State University in Louisiana where he was a standout baseball player and defensive back on the McNeese State football team...Signed by Kevin Ellis (Padres).

2015

Made his first Opening Day roster in his first season with Atlanta and hit .239 (126-for-528) with six home runs and 52 RBI in 152 games…Finished second on the team in games (152), plate appearances (597) and stolen bases (12)…Led all National League players with 22 bases-loaded RBI. His mark tied for the third-highest basesloaded total in Atlanta-franchise history since at least 1974. Brian McCann had 26 in 2007 and Jeff Francoeur finished with 24 that same year. Also hit .563 (9-for-16) with the bases full…Hit his first career home run, a grand slam off Mat Latos on 5/16 at Miami. Became the fourth Braves player whose first career home run was also a grand slam, and the first since Marcus Giles, who accomplished the feat on 5/15/01 off of Colorado's Mike Hampton. The other two instances were Barry Bonnell on June 5, 1977 vs. SF's Randy Moffitt and Vic Correll on July 31, 1974 also off SF's Moffitt. Named the team MVP for Single-A Lake Elsinore batting a career-best .303 with 42 stolen bases ..... The Storm's starting shortstop, fi nished the season ranked sixth in the California League in batting, tied for third in triples, fourth in stolen bases and had the fi fth-lowest plate-appearance-tostrikeout-ratio at 8.55 ..... Was the Padres' Organizational Offensive Player of the Month in June after batting .389 with four doubles, four triples, four home runs, 19 RBI and 25 runs scored while stealing 12 bases in as many attempts ..... Left-handed batter hit .337 (32-for-95) against southpaws, including posting a .495 slugging pct ..... Following the season, was rated by Baseball America as the No. 7 prospect in the Padres system.
