Earned 3 varsity letters in baseball at Southwest High School in Fort Worth, Texas, where he was All-State as a senior and All-District twice...played 3 years at Texas Christian University, where he went 4-5, 3.47 as a freshman and was honorable mention All-Big 12 as a sophomore (3.14er, 86k in 16g)...in his junior season in 2014, went 9-3, 2.04 to help lead the Horned Frogs to the NCAA College World Series...that year ranked third in Division I with 134 strikeouts and was named All-America by most baseball publications/organizations...entering the 2014 draft was rated by Baseball America the 13th-best prospect and was picked 17th...played for the 2013 USA Baseball national collegiate team...his older brother, Jonathan, played baseball at Western Texas College...his father, Gary, played baseball at TCU...follow on Twitter @bfinny29.
