Graduated from Desert Vista (AZ) High School…Attended Brigham Young University (UT) and was an All-West Coast Conference First Team selection in 2013…Named a Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American in 2011 when he was also named Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year…Originally signed by Oakland scout Trevor Ryan after being selected by the A's in the 17th round of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft...Married, wife's name is Ali...The couple has two children: Millie and Beck.

Began the season with Oakland's Triple-A Nashville and batted .275 in 38 games for the Sounds ...
