Dayton...lettered three seasons at Auburn University (AL), earning Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America honors by Collegiate Baseball, as well as SEC All-Freshman Team honors in 2008...earned numerous accolades at Bob Jones High School (AL), including 2006 First Team All-State, All-Metro 6A Super Team Pitcher of the Year, All-Metro 6A Team (twice) and Alabama Baseball Coaches Association North Team.


Combined to post 2-3 record with four saves and 3.13 ERA (72.0 IP/25 ER) between Double-A Jacksonville and Triple-A New Orleans...Ranked third among New Orleans relievers in appearances (39) and innings pitched (55.2)...Opened season in Suns bullpen, making 11 appearances with an 0-1 record, three saves and 1.10 ERA (16.1/2)...Did not allow a run over first nine appearances (12.2 IP), going 3x3 in save opportunities...Gave up first runs of season in 10th outing, May 2 at Mississippi. Took loss after allowing two runs on six hits with a walk and one strikeout over 1.2 innings. In first 10 games following reinstatement, went 1-2 with a 3.27 ERA (11.0/4). Over final 20 appearances of season, was 3-2 with one save and a 2.00 ERA (27.0/6). Earned first win on June 1 at Pensacola, tossing just 0.1 inning. On August 10 at Pensacola, logged season-high 3.0 innings. Did not allow a hit or run while striking out five. Recorded three five-strikeout games: June 30 vs. Pensacola, August 10 at Pensacola and August 14 vs. Birmingham. Tallied 16 multi-strikeout efforts. Allowed runs in just seven appearances and did not surrender more than two runs in any appearance. Opponents posted .158 average (6x38) with runners in scoring position. Average with RISP and two outs dropped to .045 (1x22).


Following 2012 season, played with Phoenix Desert Dogs in Arizona Fall League. Appeared in 10 games with no record and 3.75 ERA (12.0/5).


In 2011, led Single-A Greensboro in appearances and ranked second in ERA. Tossed 71.1 innings to lead all 'Hoppers relievers. Earned Marlins' Pitcher of the Month for June after going 2-0 with one save and 0.00 ERA over 12.2 innings. Allowed just six hits and two walks while striking out 25.
