Split the season between Single-A Lake Elsinore and Double-A San Antonio, hitting a combined .277 (148-for-534) with 35 doubles, five triples, seven home runs, 76 RBI and 59 runs scored in 131 games...Began the year with Lake Elsinore, hitting .296 (72-for-243) with 20 doubles in 57 games before being promoted to San Antonio...Selected to the World Roster of the 2013 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game at Citi Field in New York...Played in the Dominican Winter League following the season.


2012 Spent the entire campaign with Single-A Fort Wayne, capturing the Midwest League batting title by hitting .323 (113-for-350) in 92 games for the Tin Caps. Overall on the season, tallied 21 doubles, four triples, eight home runs, 61 RBI and 47 runs scored. Against left-handed pitching, hit .386 (32-for-83) while hitting .303 (81-for-267) against right-handers. In 49 home games for Fort Wayne, hit .375 (69-for-184). Posted his best month of the season in July by hitting .376 (38-for-101) with 14 extra-base hits and 22 RBI in 26 games played. 2011 Played in 50 games for Rookie-Level Peoria, spending the entire season with the Padres Arizona Summer League affiliate. Hit .348 (73-for-210) with 13 doubles, eight triples, seven home runs, 46 RBI, 50 runs scored and eight stolen bases while posting a .953 OPS. Led the Arizona Summer League in runs scored (50) and total bases (123), ranked tied for the lead in RBI (46), second in hits (73), tied for third in triples (8) and home runs (7), tied for sixth in slugging percentage (.586) and eighth in batting average (.348). Named an Arizona Summer League post-season All-Star. Also named the No. 1 prospect in the Rookie-Level Arizona Summer League by Baseball America after the season.
