2017

His 17 home runs in 113 games with the Royals were seventh most among American League rookies and most by a Royals rookie since Eric Hosmer (19) in 2011 ... Hit .314/.386/.608 (16-for-51) with seven extra-base hits and 12 RBI in 13 games with Omaha (AAA) before his recall on April 21 ... Homered in his second Major League game on April 23 at Texas off Yu Darvish, becoming the sixth Royal to homer within his first two career games and first since Mike Moustakas in 2011 ... Hit .294 (10-for-34) with two doubles, five home runs and 10 RBI during a nine-game road trip to Minnesota, New York and Cleveland from May 19-28, including a two-run double in the eighth inning off Andrew Miller on May 26 and a go-ahead, two-run HR in the seventh on May 23 in the Bronx ... Homered in three consecutive games from July 22-24, becoming just the fifth Royals rookie to do so and the first since Abraham Nunez in 2004 ...
