Mariners acquire Segura in 5-player deal

Mike Hazen made his first trade as D-backs GM on Wednesday night, acquiring right-hander Taijuan Walker and infielder Ketel Marte from the Mariners in exchange for infielder Jean Segura, outfielder Mitch Haniger and left-handed reliever Zac Curtis.

Three Mariners hurlers undergo surgery

Mariners right-hander Taijuan Walker underwent arthroscopic surgery to remove a bone fragment in his right ankle on Monday, but he is expected to be ready for full activity at the start of Spring Training in February, according to general manager Jerry Dipoto.
