After being selected by the Braves in the first round (as the 31st selection overall) of the 2013 amateur draft, joined the Rome (A) Braves in early July and went 1-1 with a 0.67 ERA in nine appearances...Made nine starts with Rome, totaling 27.0 innings. His longest outing of the year came 8/2 vs. Lexington when he logged 5.0 scoreless frames...His first six outings, totaling 18.0 innings, of the season were scoreless.
