Originally selected by Boston in the 17th round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft out of Land O' Lakes High School (FL)…Led Land O' Lakes High School in wins (six), ERA (1.46), strikeouts (107), and innings pitched (62.1) as a senior in 2010...Has a daughter, Araceli Rose.

2016

Made a career-high 24 starts, all with Double-A Bowie, going 6-10, 4.73 ERA (65 ER/123.2 IP) with 54 walks and 71 strikeouts... Led the Baysox in wins, tied for the lead in games started, fnished second in innings pitched, and was third in strikeouts... Recalled on 7/9 by the Orioles but did not make an appearance and was optioned back to Double-A Bowie after 7/10's game... Tossed his frst career complete game 5 24 at Hartford, when he went 6.0 innings, surrendering three runs on seven hits with three walks and two strikeouts, suffered the loss as Bowie fell 3-0... Won three consecutive starts, 6/10-25, tossing 17.0 innings while allowing just four runs... Worked at least 5.0 innings in 19 of his starts...Struck out at least one batter in all but one of his starts... Started 13 games at home, going 4-4 with a 2.84 ERA (22 ER/69.2 IP)....Made 11 road starts and went 2-6 with a 7.17 ERA (43 ER/54.0 IP)...
