Angels recall outfielder Buss

The seasonal shuffle of the outfield continued on Saturday when the Angels recalled outfielder Nick Buss prior to their tilt with the Indians. To make room, outfielder Shane Robinson was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right hip strain and infielder Sean Coyle was designated for assignment.

Sean Edward Coyle. Signed by Chris Calciano (Red Sox). Hit .562 with 55 RBI and a school-record 13 HR as a senior at Germantown (PA) Academy in 2010...Was successful in all 22 SB attempts. Hit .296 in 8 games for USA Baseball's 18-and-under team during the squad's gold-medal run at the Pan American Games in 2009. His brother, Tommy Coyle, was selected by Tampa Bay in the 16th round of the 2012 June Draft.

2015

Limited to 39 games with Triple-A Pawtucket due to 2 stints on the DL. Saw most of his time at 2B (28 games) and 3B (10 games). Also played 4 games in the OF, his 1st pro action out of the infield...Had 3 starts in the OF (2 in LF, 1 in CF). His 1st Triple-A hit was a 2-run HR on 4/10 at Lehigh Valley against PHI's Chad Billingsley (on rehab). Went deep in each of his first 2 games at McCoy Stadium on 4/16 and 4/17 vs. Rochester. Began the year hitting .159 (11-for-69) prior to a DL stint from 5/14-6/7 due to left elbow inflammation... Reinstated on 6/8. Drew a walk-off walk in the 11th inning on 6/28 vs. Gwinnett. Returned to the DL on 7/7 (retro to 7/4) with a lower back strain and missed the remainder of the season. Hit .280 (14-for-50) with 5 2B, HR, and 9 RBI in 13 rehab games between the Rookie-level GCL Red Sox (10 games) and Short-A Lowell (3 games).
