Castillo placed on paternity list as Greinke returns

The Arizona D-backs placed catcher Welington Castillo on the paternity leave list Tuesday, activated right-hander Zack Greinke (left oblique strain) from the 15-day disabled list and recalled catcher Oscar Hernandez from Double-A Mobile.

Played in 18 games in his first Major League season with Arizona…made 7 starts with a 2.91 catcher's ERA (25 ER in 77.1 IP)…Began the season on the disabled list with a broken left hamate bone…played in 13 rehab games with Single-A Kane County and Triple-A Reno…Was reinstated from the disabled list on July 4…Made his Major League debut as a pinch runner on July 12 at Mets…Recorded first hit on July 18 vs. Giants (double off Jake Peavy)…Played for Salt River of the Arizona Fall League.
