Jae-Hoon begins his fourth season in the Cubs organization after he was signed by the Cubs as a non-drafted free agent in September of 2008...owns a .281 career batting average (298-for-1,061) in 274 minor league contests...The outfielder has a .308 career on-base percentage and a .408 slugging mark thanks to 61 doubles, seven triples and 20 home runs...Hit a career-best .317 for Single-A Peoria in 2010, hitting for the cycle, August 14 at Kane County. 2011 Jae-Hoon reached the Double-A level for the first time in his career after beginning the season with Single-A Daytona...combined to hit .279 (145-for-520) with 31 doubles, three triples, 11 homers and 72 RBI in 132 games...Primarily manned center field for both the D-Cubs and Smokies...recorded 11 outfield assists between the two teams...Began the campaign with Daytona, batting .276 (81-for-294) with 15 doubles, two triples, eight homers and 47 RBI in 71 contests...Started the season batting .370 (34-for-92) in 21 April contests...Played 12 games for Tennessee, May 16-28, before heading back to Daytona...began his second stint with the Smokies, July 13...All told, hit .283 (64-for-226) in 61 games for Tennessee...had 16 doubles, a triple, three homers and 25 RBI...Hit .324 (34-for-105) in 29 August contests...had 15 RBI. 2010 Batted .317 (93-for-293) in his lone season at Single-A Peoria...recorded a .334 on-base percentage in 77 contests...played 61 games in right field and 14 games in center field...Hit for the cycle, going 4-for-5 with a double, triple, homer, three runs scored and four RBI, August 14 at Kane County...was the first Chief to hit for the cycle since 1999...Excelled against left-handed pitching, batting .345 (30-for-87) with six homers...Posted a .338 June batting average (25-for-74), as well as a .388 mark (40-for-103) in August. 2009 Jae-Hoon hit .242 (60-for-248) with 15 doubles, two homers and 37 RBI in 65 games for Single-A Boise in his first season in the U.S.
