Coty Shea Leonard Woods...played two seasons at Walters State (TN) CC, going 11-4 with a 3.52 ERA and 12 saves...transferred to Middle Tennessee State prior to the 2009 lone season with Blue Raiders, was named first team All-Sun Belt and broke the school record with 15 saves while going 4-3 with a 1.62 ERA (8 ER/44.1 IP) and 50 strikeouts in 32 appearances...earned All-State honors his senior year at Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro, Tenn., after he hit .420 with 6 HR and recorded 10 wins and 5 saves with a 1.20 ERA. 2012 Combined to go 4-4 with a 3.20 ERA (20 ER/56.1 IP) and 27 saves in 61 relief appearances between Tulsa (AA) and Colorado Springs (AAA)...ranked among all minor league pitchers in saves (T5th) and save opportunities (T4th, 31)...converted 87.1 percent of his save chances (27-for-31)...spent the first 3 months of the season with Tulsa before being promoted to Colorado Springs on July 11...opponents batted .275 (60-218) against him overall...stranded 10-of-11 (90.9%) inherited runners, while holding opponents to a .185 average (12-65) with RISP.
