Zachary Laine Vincej…graduated from Saugus (CA) High School…attended Pepperdine University, where he played for 3 seasons (2010-12)…in 2012, earned the Brooks Wallace Award, given to the nation's top collegiate shortstop…also named WCC (West Coast Conference) Defensive Player of the Year and First-Team All-WCC in 2012.

2017

Major League debut with Cincinnati on Sept. 1 at Pittsburgh…first Major League hit, a single, off Pedro Strop on Sept. 30 at Chicago-NL…overall, went 1-for-9 (.111) with 2 runs in 9 games with Cincinnati…spent most of season with AAA Louisville, batting .270 (102x378) with 36 runs, 21 doubles, 4 triples, 3 home runs and 38 RBI in 110 games… tallied 28 multi-hit games…hit his first professional grand slam home run on Aug. 13 vs. Gwinnett…earned his first invitation to Major League Spring Training camp.

2016

Spent his second straight full season at Class AA Pensacola, where he made 98 starts at shortstop and 7 starts at 2B...also made 1 appearance at 3B...received a Rawlings Minor League Gold Glove Award as the best defensive shortstop in the minors...led all minor league shortstops in fielding percentage (.991, 4e, 423tc)...ranked eighth in the Southern League in batting average...was the SL's Player of the Week for 7/25-7/31...following the season played for Peoria in the prestigious Arizona Fall League, where he was named to the All-Prospect team (20g, .352, 7 2b, 2 3b, 4hr, 18rbi, 1sb)...led the AFL in extra-base hits (13), total bases (48) and slugging percentage (.676) while ranking second in OPS (1.101), T2nd in HR and RBI and third in batting average...led AFL shortstops in putouts and tied for the lead in assists...in the bottom of the ninth inning of a 5-3 Peoria win on 10/25 vs Scottsdale, erased a 3-1 deficit with a game-ending grand slam off Mets prospect Corey Taylor...on 12/9 was invited to his first Major League spring training camp.
