Tyler Patrick Kelly…graduated from St. Mary's (CA) High School in 2006…played one season at Loyola Marymount (2007) before transferring to University of California-Davis for sophomore and junior seasons (2008-09)…originally selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 13th round of the 2009 First Year Player Draft.


Played in a team-high 134 games at Tacoma (AAA), starting 64 at second base, 36 at third base and 20 in the outfield (15 RF & 5 LF). Had two outfield assists while playing right field...Reached base safely via walk or hit in 109 of 134 games...Hit a career-high 15 home runs. His previous single-season high was 11 during the 2012 season...Led the Rainers in runs (81), hits (120), RBI (80) and games played (134)...The 80 RBI and 134 games played marked his single-season highs...Ranked 2nd in the Pacific Coast League wtih 85 walks, trailing only Joc Pederson (Dodgers) who had 100...Posted two multi-home run games (4/29 at Sacramento & 7/10 at Salt Lake). Had a career day at Salt Lake going 3- for-4 with 2 HR and 7 RBI including his first professional grand slam off Michael Kohn (8th inning), and a three-run homer (2nd inning) earlier in the game...Switch-hitter hit 14 of his 15 home runs vs. right-handed pitchers...Tallied 21 multi-RBI games with eight of three RBI or more...Batted .378 (42-111, 7 HR) with runners in scoring position and .538 (7-13) with bases loaded...Made one appearance on the mound, tossing the 9th inning of a game vs. Iowa (8/25) with a perfect inning.

Led all Orioles farmhands in hits (154) and total bases (220) for the season combined between Frederick, Bowie and Norfolk…started at 3B and was 2-for-4 with an RBI in California/Carolina League All-Star Game in Winston-Salem June 19…had 2nd-longest hitting streak in Carolina League in 2012 with an 18-game streak from June 21-July 8 (.412/28x68)…led Frederick in walks (54) and on-base percentage (.460), while finishing 2nd in hits (91), home runs (9) and runs scored (47)…Went 4-for-4 with 2 home runs, 3 runs and 3 RBI in his Keys finale July 15 against Carolina…was the active batting leader in the Carolina League at .346 when promoted to Bowie on July 16.


Spent 2nd season with Delmarva….selected to the South Atlantic League Midseason All-Star team….tied for 3rd-longest hit streak in the SAL at 16 consecutive games…led the team in runs scored (63), hits (125) and at-bats (457), was 2nd in games played (120), RBI (46), walks (5th in the SAL, 67) and 4th in stolen bases (11).


Finished 5th in the South Atlantic League with 68 walks with Delmarva…led the club in games played, hits, RBI and runs scored…had a career-high 5 RBI April 11 at Greenville.


Began pro career with Aberdeen and named 2009 IronBirds MVP…named to the 2009 New York-Penn League All-Star Team…led the team in walks (33) and finished 2nd on the team in runs scored (31) and hits (60)…had a career-high 5 hits July 11 against Hudson Valley.
