2014

Spent most of the season at Class AAA Louisville but made 5 starts and 2 relief apps during 3 stints with the Reds...made his first 2 apps in spot starts in the nightcap of the day/night doubleheader on 7/8 vs Cubs (6-5 win) and on 8/21 vs Atl (8-0 loss)...as 1 of 10 September callups spent the last month in Cin, where he made a pair of relief apps followed by quality starts in the 5-1 win at Mil on 9/13, 2-1 loss at StL on 9/19 and 5-3 win vs Mil on 9/25...on 9/8 vs StL replaced injured starting pitcher Dylan Axelrod after 1 batter and threw 5.2 scoreless innings, the longest outing of his career to that point and the longest by a Reds reliever since Carlos Fisher threw 5.2 innings in a 19-inning game on 5/25/11 at Phi...finished the season in Axelrod's spot in the rotation and produced those 3 straight quality starts (2-1, 2.50)...the 5-1 win on 9/13 at Mil was his first Major League victory in his sixth career appearance...in spring training was limited to 1 appearance by a sore right shin...was on Louisville's disabled list from 4/20-5/11 and 5/21-6/10 with left shoulder tendinitis.
