Crisp scratched from lineup with sore neck

The A's scratched Coco Crisp from Sunday's starting lineup because of neck soreness and had earlier optioned reserve infielder Arismendy Alcantara to Triple-A, leaving them shorthanded ahead of their series finale against the Rays.

Arismendy made his major league debut in 2014 with Chicago after he was signed by the Cubs as a non-drafted free agent, November 3, 2008 ... is a .274 (675-for-2,460) career hitter with 124 doubles, 51 triples, 52 homers, 290 RBI and 128 stolen bases in seven minor league seasons. Named a Pacific Coast League All-Star with Triple-A Iowa in 2014 and 2015 ... was a Southern League mid-season and post-season All-Star with Double-A Tennessee in 2013 ... named a Florida State League mid-season All-Star with Class A Daytona in 2012. Named the seventh-best Cubs prospect heading into the 2014 season by Baseball America … tabbed as the 10th-best Cubs prospect prior to the 2013 season. Earned a spot on the Topps Double-A All-Star team in 2013.
