The Cubs added another reliever to the mix, recalling right-hander Felix Pena from Triple-A Iowa and optioning infielder Tommy La Stella to the Minor League team.

Jason Heyward was activated from the disabled list on Tuesday and returned to the Cubs' lineup. Kyle Schwarber continues to make progress at Triple-A Iowa, but there's no timetable for his return.

Has gone 29-39 with a 3.79 ERA (265 ER/628.2 IP) in 179 career minor league games, including 78 starts ... made his organizational debut in 2009 with the DSL Cubs and in 2016 made his first appearance at both Triple-A and in the majors ... Named a mid-season All-Star in three-straight seasons in the Midwest League (2013), Florida State League (2014) and Southern League (2015) ...
