Majored in History at Oregon State...His second cousin, Charlie Sitton, played basketball at Oregon State and in the NBA for the Dallas Mavericks...Was a 17th round selection in the 2009 MLB First-Year Player Draft by Boston.

2016

Signed a minor league contract with the Seattle Mariners on January 21...Began the season with double-A Jackson and appeared in seven contests, tossing 9.1-scoreless innings and allowing just four hits before being promoted to triple-A...Tossed 11.2-scoreless innings over eight games with Tacoma before allowing his first run of the season...Spent most of the season with triple-A Tacoma, going 1-2 with a 2.93 ERA (14er, 43.0ip) in 35 games.
