Began the season with Myrtle Beach (A)... Promoted to Frisco (AA) on 5/12... Won the Texas League batting title with a .321 AVG (118-368)... Named a Texas League midseason and postseason All-Star... Combined to hit .355 (71-201) over June and July... Batted .346 with RISP (37-107)... Led the Venezuelan Winter League in AVG (.372) in 58 games for La Guaira; also finished 2nd in hits (77) and OBP (.432), 3rd in SLG % (.556) and 4th in XBH (23) and SB (8)
