Graduated from Frenship (Texas) High School in 2006...was named Lubbock Avalanche-Journal All-City Player of the Year as a senior in high school striking out 162 batters in 94.0 innings...was also an All-State quarterback as a senior at Frenship High School...played college baseball at Oklahoma State University racking up 22 career wins...named to the Clemson All-Regional team after opening round win over Alabama in 2009...resides in Lubbock, Texas.
