Aycock (NC) High School, where he also played basketball for two years and ran cross country one year...Earned a bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science from the University of North Carolina...Helped lead North Carolina to three straight College World Series appearances from 2006-08...Pitched for the Wilmington Sharks of the Coastal Plain League in the summer of 2006 and the Chatham A's of the Cape Cod League in 2007...Enjoys golf, attending Tar Heels sporting events and spending time with his family...Follow him on Twitter (@RobWooten35)

Missed the entire season after undergoing "Tommy John" surgery on his right elbow on 4/8.
