Placed on 15-day disabled list March 21 with right back strain...Began season on rehab assignment with Double-A Jackson (Seattle), making four appearances and was returned from rehab; reinstated April 16 and optioned to Triple-A Tacoma...Pitched in 12 games and was placed on 7-day disabled list May 29 with a right shoulder strain; reinstated June 11...Held right-handed hitters to a .217 (13-for-60) batting average and left-handers to a .236 (13-for-55) batting average while at Tacoma...Recalled by Seattle June 9 and appeared in one game, that night, vs. Minnesota, pitching 1.2 innings and was optioned back to Tacoma after game...Was outrighted and traded to Minnesota in exchange for first baseman Kendrys Morales July 24; optioned to Triple-A Rochester...Posted 12.2 scoreless inning streak August 3-21 (7 games)...12 of 14 appearances for Red Wings were scoreless.
