The Twins activated right-handed reliever Trevor May from the 15-day disabled list after Monday's 3-1 loss to the A's and optioned lefty Buddy Boshers to Triple-A Rochester.

The Twins called up highly regarded reliever J.T. Chargois from Triple-A Rochester and reinstated right-hander Kyle Gibson from the 15-day disabled list, as right-handers Phil Hughes and Trevor May were placed on the 15-day disabled list before Friday's game against the Red Sox.

2015

Played in third career Twins spring training and was optioned to Triple-A Rochester March 28...Was slated to be Triple-A Rochester third starter but was recalled by Minnesota on April 11 when Ricky Nolasco was placed on DL with right elbow inflammation...Made start in Home Opener April 13 vs. Kansas City, allowing five runs on eight hits in 5.1 innings pitched with one walk and four strikeouts and was issued the loss... Pitched 7.0-shutout innings with two hits allowed, no walks and nine strikeouts, which tied a season-high (previous May 23 at Chicago-AL) June 3 at Boston...Moved to the bullpen upon Ervin Santana's reinstatement from the 80-day restricted list in beginning of July; had gone 4-7, 4.37 ERA (80.1 IP, 39 ER) with 18 walks and 71 strikeouts in 15 starts....
