Played high school baseball at Jose Rojas Cortez Superior High School...resides in Orocovis, Puerto Rico.

2013

Played in 104 games on the season with 99 coming at Springfield (AA) and five at Memphis (AAA) at the end of July... Started 52 games at shortstop, 44 at second base and 7 at third base. Posted a combined .984 fielding percentage, committing only seven errors on the season and turning 54 double plays. Would have had the highest fielding percentage in the Texas League at shortstop (.980) and second base (.989), but did not have the total chances to qualify...Stole 14 bases in 21 attempts, ranking 2nd on Springfield and T11th among Cardinals minor leaguers...Was T2nd on the Springfield squad with six sacrifice bunts....Rapped out 24 multi-hit games with three three-hit games on the season.

Played in a career-high 113 games at Quad Cities (A), starting 100 at second base,five at third base and four at second base...belted a career-best 12 home runs (3rd on team) and 64 RBI...also stole a career-best 18 bases, ranking 2nd on the squad and 6th among Cardinals minor leaguers...batted .330 (34-103) with runners in scoring position...had a red-hot May batting .333 (28-84) with 5 HR and 17 RBI...had one multi-HR game at Clinton (5/20) with a season-high 5 RBI...rapped out 25 multi-hit games with five three-hit performances.

Played 59 games between Palm Beach (A) and Quad Cities (AA) in 2011, the majority of those coming at Palm Beach (56 games)...played 99 games at Quad Cities (A) where he hit his first professional grand slam on 4/16...hit .323 in July (30-93).
