Graduated from Mills Godwin (Richmond, Va.) High School in 2006 where he played both football and baseball... attended Pensacola Junior College and Miami Dade Community College where he earned an Associates degree in 2008...enjoys water sports and resides in Sarasota, Fla.

Appeared in 40 games, including four starts at Memphis (AAA), and three games in rehab at the Gulf Coast rookie level... Was injured with a left oblique strain from 5/29-6/10 and reinjured the oblique missing games from 6/25-7/29... Made 11 relief appearances of four outs or more with seven appearances of 2.0 innings or more... Made three rehab appearances in the Gulf Coast League between 7/15-26... Despite his injury, ranked 4th on Memphis squad with 37 appearances... Started final three games of the season. Was 0-1 with a 3.38 ERA as a starting pitcher... Held right-handed batters to a .263 BA (30-114) with only five extra base hits... Threw 6.1 innings in final start of the season at Oklahoma City (9/2), allowing one run on five hits in a no decision... Earned his only win of the season vs. Omaha (8/19) with two scoreless innings of relief... Recorded first and only save of the season at Nashville (4/28) in the second game of a doubleheader.

2012 Played at Springfield (AA) and for the first time as a pro, was used solely in the relief role. Led Springfield with 57 games pitched and led relievers with his 2.39 ERA, 4th among the relievers with his 41 K's. Didn't allow first run of the season until his 9th outing (10.0 IP), then put together a string of 13 scoreless outings.(18.0 IP) 4/27-5/25. Allowed runs in just 12 of his 57 games pitched. Used as a set-up man, but did pick up five saves. Appeared in five playoff games for Springfield, as the Double-A club defeated Frisco for the Texas League Championship. In the first round of the playoffs vs. Tulsa, earned the win in Game 1 after pitching 2.0 innings of scoreless relief in a 10-inning win. Earned Holds in both Game 3 and 5, pitching a scoreless inning in each game. Against Frisco in the Championship round, earned Holds in Game 1 and the deciding Game 4. 2011 At Palm Beach (High A) started 24 games...ranked 5th among Cardinals minor leaguers in innings pitched (144.2), T3rd in starts, 6th in ERA (3.67), 7th in toughest to homer off (90.7 TBF/1 HR) and 9th in strikeouts (116)... ERA ranked 10th in the Florida State League and he registered the 5th highest K/9 IP ratio in the league (7.22). 2010 In a full season with Quad Cities (A), ranked 2nd among Cardinals minor leaguers in starts (28) and 8th in IP (104.1)...led the Midwest league in losses (15), runs(104)and earned runs(82) allowed. 2009 Split the season between short-season Batavia and Quad Cities (A), being transferred to QC on 8/3...pitched well in all eight games at QC going 1-0, 1.69 in relief and 3-0, 2.33 as a starter ... finished the season as a starter for QC. 2008 After signing,pitched nine games for the GCL Cardinals before finishing up the year at Johnson City...started four of 11 games...was 2-0 with one save, 0.43 ERA in 7 combined relief outings vs. 0-3, 3.71ERAin four combined starts
