While at Cal State-Stanislaus, was selected to the Rawlings/American Baseball Coaches Association All-America second team in 2008...named West Region Pitcher of the Year by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. 2012 Spent the majority of the year with Double-A Montgomery...averaged 10.23 SO/9 IP, 3rd highest among Southern League relievers...started the season with Triple-A Durham and allowed runs in 5 of 7 apps before being transferred to Montgomery on April 30...allowed runs in 5 of his first 8 apps with Montgomery but pitched to a 3.02 ERA (50.2-IP, 17-ER) over his final 33 apps. 2011 Spent the majority of the year with Double-A Montgomery...had the highest SO/9 IP ratio (11.65), 3rd-lowest opp avg.
