Full name is Jeremy Michael Bleich... attended Stanford University, where he went 3-3 with a 2.09 ERA during his junior year in 2008, allowing just 11ER in 47.1IP and leading the team in ERA (min. 5G)... missed eight weeks of the season (March through mid-May) with a strained ligament in his left elbow... started the opening game of the 2008 College World Series vs. Florida State, recording a no-decision despite allowing 1ER while striking out a season-high seven batters in 5.0IP... his sixth-inning leadoff HR allowed to FSU's Dennis Quinn on his 89th and final pitch of the game snapped a 25.2-inning stretch without allowing an earned run... faced fellow Yankees-draftee Jack Rye in the game, with Rye going 0-for-3 with 1K... earned Cape Cod League All-Star honors while playing for the Wareham Gatemen in 2006... was on the U.S.A.
