Signed March 5, 2008 by Rockies scouts Rolando Fernandez, Jhonathan Leyba and Martin Cabrera. 2012 Was a member of Major League Spring Training for the first time in 2012 and would go on to play at the Double-A, TripleA and Major League levels in 2012...began the season at Double-A Tulsa, where he would spend the first three months of the season and go 8-4 with a 2.94 ERA (98.0 ip, 32 er), 23 walks and 82 strikeouts in 15 starts. Made his Major League debut on 6/27 vs. WAS after being recalled straight from Double-A...allowed 7 runs, 5 earned, on 5 hits and 3 walks with one strikeout in that outing...was optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs following the outing. Went on to go 3-1 with a 3.41 ERA (31.2 ip,12 er) in six starts for the Sky Sox in his first experience at the level. Made one other start in the Majors, on 7/24 at ARI...allowed 2 runs on 4 hits and 4 walks with 4 strikeouts.
