A's right-hander Jesse Hahn finished the 2015 regular season with a 6-6 record, a 3.35 ERA, a 1.17 WHIP and 64 strikeouts across 96 2/3 innings.

Jesse Allen Hahn…attended Virginia Tech University…graduated from Fitch High School (CT) where he also played basketball for two years and football for one…in 40 innings pitched as a senior, went 5-1 with 65 strikeouts and only six walks, tossing one no-hitter and three one-hitters…set a state record by posting a 0.17 ERA (min. 35 innings pitched)…set five other single-season school records and earned Pitcher of the Year, all-state, all-area and All-Eastern Connecticut Conference honors…helped his team to a state title in 2006 and the ECC title in 2007…signed by Rays' scout Lou Wieben.


Made his Major League debut with San Diego and went 7-4 with a 3.07 ERA in 14 games, including 12 starts, over four stints with the Padres…tied for third among National League rookies in wins, ranked sixth in strikeouts (70), tied for ninth in games started and 10th in innings pitched (73.1)…surrendered just four home runs in 73.1 innings, an average of 0.49 per nine innings…allowed a .214 opponents batting average, which included a .200 (25-for-125) mark against right-handed hitters compared to .227(32-for-141) against left-handers…did not yield a home run to any of the 153 right-handers he faced and had a .256 opponents slugging percentage against righties…all four of the home runs he allowed came with runners on base…opponents hit .211 with runners in scoring position, including .185 with RISP and two outs…went 7-2 with a 2.01 ERA over his first nine starts, 0-2 with a 5.95 ERA over his final five games, including three starts…compiled a 4-0 record and a 2.56 ERA in ve starts on four days restcompared to 3-3 with a 3.28 ERA in seven starts on ve days rest or more…had a 2.14 ERA over the first five innings of a game, 6.75 from the sixth inning on…was 7-3 with a 2.96 ERA and .199 opponents batting average in his 12 starting assignments, 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA in two relief appearances…inherited three runners in his two relief appearances and allowed all three to score…first batters faced were 0-for-1 with a walk…the Padres were 9-3 (.750) in his starting assignments
