Mark John Hamburger...was signed out of the Twins annual open tryout camp at the Metrodome...was a fixture on the club's 2012 Winter Caravan, including the central Texas leg of the tour. 2011 Right-hander completed rapid ascension through the upper levels of the Texas farm system with major league debut on Aug. 31...combined to go 8-4 with a 3.39 ERA (31 ER/82.1 IP) in 42 games/4 starts, allowing 25 walks against just 70 strikeouts with a 1.093 WHIP figure at the minor league level with AA Frisco and AAA Round Rock prior to having contract purchased from the Express on August 30. 2010 Split campaign between Bakersfield and Frisco...combined to go 4-2 with a 2.20 ERA (16 ER/65.1 IP), 21 saves, and 69 strikeouts...led all Texas farmhands in saves...converted 21-of-26 save chances overall...limited opposing right-handers to a .192 average (24-125), while opponents batted .236 (58-246) overall...opened season with Bakersfield, leading the Blaze with 18 saves...tossed 19.1 consecutive scoreless innings over 17 outings from June 17- July 29...promoted to Frisco on July 30...did not allow an earned run in July and was honored with Rangers' Minor League Reliever of the Month honors after going 2-0 with 9 saves over 14 appearances...allowed 2 earned runs in 1.0 inning in 2nd outing with Frisco on Aug. 4 vs. Midland, ending scoreless inning streak at 20.1 innings...recorded a season-high 6 strikeouts over 2.0 innings on August 6 at SA. 2009 Spent the entire season with Hickory, appearing in a team-high 41 games...allowed 9-of-23 inherited runners to score...posted a 2.00 ERA (4 ER/18.0 IP) over his first 12 appearances with the Crawdads...placed on the DL July 29 with a calf strain...activated from the disabled list on August 10. 2008 Split season between Elizabethtown (Rookie) and Clinton...combined to go 1-2, 3.98 (18 ER/40.2 IP) with 16 saves in 31 games between Elizabethtown and Clinton...named to the Appalachian League Post-Season All-Star team...went 13-for-14 in save situations...acquired from Minnesota in exchange for Eddie Guardado on August 25...posted a 2.25 ERA (1 ER/4.0 IP) with 3 saves in 4 games with Clinton following the trade. 2007 Spent first professional season with GCL Twins...went 2-1, 1.20 (2 ER/15.0 IP) in 8 games.
