Moises Oscar Tejeda...Lives in San Cristobal, DR...Signed by Luis Scheker (Red Sox). 2011 Spent the entire season at Portland, serving as the Sea Dogs primary 2nd baseman in his 1st career Double-A action...Led the club with 457 at-bats and ranked 2nd among club leaders in games (2nd, 123), hits (2nd, 114) and stolen bases (2nd, 13)...According to Baseball America, was the 5th-youngest regular in the Eastern League at age 21...Batted .295 (36-for-122) against left-handed pitching...Hit safely in 14 consecutive games at Hadlock Field from 4/9-5/23, tied for the 2nd-longest home hitting streak in the league...Recorded 5 consecutive multi-hit games from 7/2-5, going 10-for-19 (.526) over that stretch...Drove in a season-high 4 runners and tallied his 1st long ball of the campaign on 4/26 vs. Binghamton...After the season, appeared in 4 games for Gigantes del Cibao in the Dominican Winter League. 2010 Selected to both mid- and post-season Carolina League All-Star Teams with High-A Salem.
