Name is pronounced JAK-sin WIL-yims...Graduated from Broken Arrow (OK) High School...attended the University of Oklahoma, where he was a three-year starter, team captain and earned second-team All-Big 12 honors...originally San Francisco's sandwich pick (43rd selections overall) in 2007 First-Year Player Draft.

2013

For the second-straight season spent the entire campaign at Triple-A Fresno...Played in all but one of his 85 games as the club's catcher...Had 21 extra-base hits (14 2B, 2 3B, 5 HR) in his 85 games...was his second-straight season with at least 20 extra-base hits (27 XBH in 2012)...Played for Leones del Escogido in the Dominican Winter League during the offseason...hit .200 (8-for-40) with 2 doubles in his 14 games.

Enjoyed a career year offensively, batting a career-best .247 (73-for-295) in 86 games for triple-A Fresno...Hit a career-high 11 home runs, which were the most by a Grizzlies' catcher since Guiseppe Chiaramonte hit 22 home runs in 2000...Threw out 29.2 pct. (26-of-89) of attempted base stealers, which ranked third among all catchers in the Pacific Coast League...Batted .364 (20-for-55) with four doubles, four home runs and 12 RBI over 14 games in June.
