Jay C. Voss...graduated Mater Dei High School (IL) where he was named Belleville News Democrat First-Team All-Area...attended Kaskaskia Community College...went 5-4 with a 3.40 ERA for the Blue Devils in his freshman season. 2009 Started his third professional season at single-A Jupiter where he posted an 0-1 record and 2.03 ERA in 10 games...Took the loss on April 28 at St. Lucie, allowing one run on four hits over 1.2 innings...Transferred to Jacksonville on May 22 and saw his first action at the double-A level on May 23 vs. Montgomery. Surrendered just one hit in his only inning of work. With Suns, posted a 3-0 mark with one save and a 2.97 ERA in 30 games. Ranked fourth among Suns pitchers in appearances...Earned his first professional save on July 3 vs. Montgomery, striking out four over 2.0 innings of work...Notched his first win of the season on July 19 vs. Tennessee, allowing just one hit over 2.0 innings. Earned his second win in his next appearance in the second game of a doubleheader against West Tennessee on July 22. Allowed one hit over a scoreless inning...Won third and final game in his last appearance on September 7 at Huntsville.
