After opening the year with a successful run at Triple-A, Tepesch was promoted on 5/14 and finished among Texas staff leaders in quality starts (2nd, 11), wins (T3rd, 5), starts (T3rd, 22), and innings (4th, 126.0)...established career highs in most categories in his 2nd ML season...his 4.00 SO per 9 ratio was lowest in MLB among 127 pitchers with at least 125.0 innings.

2013

The club's fifth starter to begin the year, Tepesch missed 2 months due to injury and went 4-6 with a 4.84 ERA (50 ER/93.0 IP) in 19 games/17 starts in his rookie campaign… ranked 4th on staff in strikeouts (76), 5th in innings, T5th in starts…had 4th-best qualifying ERA among A.L. rookies, and ranked among league's rookie leaders in innings (4th), starts (T4th), opponents average (5th, .272), and strikeouts (T7th).

2012 Split the season between Myrtle Beach (High-A) and Frisco (AA)...combined to go 11-6 with a 3.67 ERA (66 ER/162.0 IP) and 127 strikeouts against 44 walks over 28 games/26 starts...opposition hit .268 (165-616) overall, .266 by lefties and .269 by right-handers...opponents hit .182 (10-55) with RISP/2 outs...had a 3.52 ERA (61 ER/156.0 IP) as a starter and a 7.50 ERA (5 ER/6.0 IP) in a pair of appearances out of the bullpen...at end of spring training, tossed 0.2 scoreless inning for the Rangers in an April 3 exhibition in Arlington against the Mexico City Red Devils to finish a 13-4 win.
