Matthew C. Hoffman...2007 graduate of Owasso (OK) High School where he went 8-1 as a senior; pitched a three-hit shutout to lead the club to a 1-0 win over Edmond Memorial High School for Owasso's ninth state championship.

2013

Spent season with Triple-A Toledo (Detroit)… Posted an ERA of 0.93 (19.1 IP, 2 ER) in April and May combined (20 games), including 12.1 scoreless innings in 11 May appearances…Posted 19 consecutive scoreless appearances (18.1 IP) April 26-June 14, allowing 11 hits with 19 strikeouts…Placed on 7-day disabled list with left elbow contusion July 2-11…Made just eight appearances in July and August combined due to stints on the disabled list with a back strain July 30-August 15 and again August 26 to the end of season; pitched his final game on August 17…Allowed just two home runs on the season, both hit by left-handers…Signed with the Twins as a minor league free agent December 2.
