High School...ranked as 40th-best pro prospect by Baseball America after senior season, hitting .538 on campaign (49-for-91) with 13 2Bs, 3 3Bs, 9 HRs, 36 RBI and 13 stolen bases...was also 9-2 with 1.84 ERA as pitcher...2-sport star was recruited as wide receiver by Division I schools...was selected as Giants' 12th-best prospect by Baseball America prior to 2009 season. 2009 Batted .259 (50-for-193) with pair of homers and 17 RBI in 52 games in his 1st professional season with rookie-level Arizona.
