Full name is Brett William Eibner...resides in Jupiter, Fla. in the offseason...Graduated from The Woodlands (Texas) High School in 2007...helped school win the 5A state title and earn No. 1 ranking in USA Today's Super 25 baseball rankings...batted .417 during senior year, to go with a 5-0 pitching record...Selected by the Houston Astros in the fourth round of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft, but did not sign...Attended University of Arkansas...led the Razorbacks in RBI (48) as a freshman, becoming the first to do this since former Royal Jeff King in 1984...named a Freshman All-American by Baseball America in 2008...Helped the Razorbacks reach the College World Series during sophomore season (2009)...earned National Pitcher of the Week honors on April 20, 2009...batted .333 with 22 home runs as a junior in 2010...named to Ping! Baseball All-America second team and watch lists for Golden Spikes Award and the Olerud Award (best two-way player)...Older brother, Drew, played golf at the University of Arkansas, while younger brother, Ryan, golfed at East Carolina.

Spent the entire season with Omaha (A A A), where he batted .303 with 23 doubles, 19 homers and 81 RBI...set career highs in hits (118), total bases (200), RBI and slugging percentage (.514)...Ranked ninth in the league in RBI, slugging percentage and OPS (.878) and finished 14th in batting average...Batted .348 (40-for-115) with runners in scoring position and was 5-for-10 with a double and a homer with the bases loaded... Hit .321 with 13 doubles and eight homers after the All-Star break...hit .380 (35-for-92) during the month of July with nine doubles, a triple and seven homers... followed that up batting .326 in August.
